Placentrex gel used as a surgical wound healing agent: A case report

چکیده
Gingival enlargement is an inflammatory response to plaque present on tooth surfaces or due factors like drugs and several systemic conditions. In cases where the local are responsible subgingival scaling root planing do not help, gingivectomy/gingivoplasty performed which creates a raw wound heals slowly. Since surgical practice primarily depends upon healing of these wounds without serious complication infection occurring, increase rate postoperative wound, placental extract gel has been used as therapeutic agent because it unique pharmacological effects enhancement wound-healing, anti-inflammatory action, analgesic effect etc. A variety substances with biological activity in human placenta have isolated identified hormones, proteins, glycosaminoglycans, nucleic acids, polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRNs) therefore play major role faster wound.
